From the Blog
Barrett’s Concrete is a well-established manufacturer and supplier of concrete, blocks and quarry products. The business prides itself in supplying quality products along with a superior level of customer service and industry expertise.
Barrett’s Concrete had no online presence and so required a brand new, bespoke website to raise the company profile, create brand awareness, showcase the wide range of products and generate more business.
Bespoke design, easy to use navigation
Our web design team worked closely with Barrett’s Concrete on the initial brief and created a fresh, clean, modern and functional new site that brings all of the key objectives together. The new website is fully responsive – this means the website will be designed and coded so that it automatically adapts to suit the size of the screen it is being viewed.
The site also features striking visuals and engaging content to reflect the brand message, placing Barrett’s Concrete among the best in the industry as a leading manufacturer and supplier of concrete, blocks and quarry products. The new design reflects the personality of Barrett’s brand message and core value proposition – Quality; Customer Service and Support; and Industry Expertise. This builds user confidence in Barrett’s quality, capability, experience and industry expertise.
About – clear company information and ‘History’ timeline
We believe building a personal connection with your audience is one small step towards a mutual trusting relationship. The team at WebsiteNI included an ‘About’ section which enables potential customers to get to know more information on the company as a whole, learn more on who they are dealing with and experience Barrett’s commitment and high quality services. This sets Barrett’s apart from the competition. Similarly, the ‘History’ section features detailed content and a timeline which tells the story of Barrett’s.
Clear Calls to action
Calls to Action are the most critical tool for motivating and directing users to take a desired action. The overall site design is engaging and reflective of modern technology and design trends in a way that supports, motivates and encourages all kinds of visitors to take actions such as ‘Contact Us’ and ‘Send us a message’.
The team also integrated logos of clients on the footer of every page and this helps build trust and confidence in Barrett’s expertise and processes. The website footer also includes links to DC Piling and T&J Recycling.
Clearly defined pathways
The site’s main homepage and navigation bar is critical to the user journey and easily provides access to key areas. With clearly defined pathways to information and logical categorisation of information, the new website architecture means the user does not need to learn how to use the site and can easily find the information they are looking for with a minimum of interactions. The main navigation bar is descriptive so users instantly know the products and services on offer – ‘Ready Mix Concrete’, ‘Precast Concrete’, ‘Quarry Products’ and ‘Blocks’.
Modern and flexible product pages
Barrett’s Concrete required a flexible product page to show a range of information such as product descriptions, image galleries, technical specifications and enquiry forms. WebsiteNI have achieved this – the product pages provide enough information to answer the users high-level questions, but not enough information to answer every question. This is to encourage the user to lift the phone for specific information or submit an enquiry form if out of hours (and lead capture).
The product pages were styled around all the required content and imagery and designed to provide a clear and structured product page with a clear navigation to enable users to see the full range of products on offer. Each product page has a a structured and consistent layout to present the complex information and make it easier for the user to compare products. This level of flexible design adds value to the Barrett Concrete website.
Contact – Contact enquiry form and Google Maps integration
The new website features prominent contact details and an enquiry form to make it as easy as possible for users to get in touch via phone or online. The ‘Contact’ page also clearly lists all of Barrett’s locations and features an integrated Google Maps feature so users can easily see these locations.
To ensure the website is easy to use and functional from both an end user and website administrator perspective, WebsiteNI designed and built this modern, beautiful and interactive website and integrated it with the WordPress Content Management System platform.
