The 14CHRONO Centre for Climate, the Environment and Chronology is a radiocarbon dating laboratory based in the Archaeology and Palaeoecology Building of the School of Natural and Built Environment at Queen’s University, Belfast.
With more than three decades of experience in addressing the biggest problems facing the carbon dating community. the team at The 14CHRONO Centre carry out on-going research programmes and host several software and database tools used throughout the radiocarbon community. Having commissioned an Accelerator Mass Spectrometer facility in 2007, Chrono process about 200 unknown samples per month and maintain a high level of availability of its resources, ensuring rapid turnaround on carbon dates.
The 14CHRONO Centre had a dated website that required a complete revamp to bring it into line with current best practice with regards to website design and technology. The old website did not reflect the current offering and core value proposition of the organisation. Poor navigation made it difficult for different users to find information.
