Key Responsibilities:
- Take approved visual design concepts and develop them into high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly websites.
- Collaborate and work well with the wider team.
- High quality of work to ensure pixel perfect delivery across a range of devices.
- Optimise websites for maximum speed and scalability.
- Eagerness to shape the direction of our future services and working practices.
- Managing your own time and dealing with the pressures of tight deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
You must be:
- Highly detailed with the ability to be given a brief and work to your own creative ideas whilst being able to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, talented and not afraid to work on a range of different projects.
- Able to work as part of a team, collaborating very closely with the team and driving forward projects.
- Confident in communicating effectively with clients to provide project updates, and address enquiries.
- Located at our physical offices in Moy (not a remote position).
Essential skills:
- 3+ years development experience (HTML, CSS & JavaScript).
- Competency in WordPress.
- A foundational knowledge of PHP would be preferred.
- Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Excellent time management, with ability to prioritise.
- Ability to work towards deadlines.
- Self-motivated, energetic and persistent.
- Good problem solving skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with API Integration.
- Developing bespoke solutions.
- Solid understanding of DNS, hosting environments, site migrations etc.
- Experience with backend technologies and server-side languages eg Node.js.
- Knowledge of build tools and package managers eg npm.
- Graphic design skills and the ability to work with design tools eg Sketch.
- Contribution to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
